Chris Francis Architect

At Chris Francis Architect Ltd, we pride ourselves on delivering bespoke architectural services to our clients across the East Midlands region. With over twenty years of experience in designing and building projects in Nottinghamshire, we have established a strong network of construction trade and professional contacts who can tackle most challenges.

**Our Services** Our services are tailored to suit your project's unique needs. You may require technical advice, a design and planning application, or a feasibility study. Alternatively, we can provide a full architectural and project management service, guiding you through the project from design to completion. Our work goes beyond the fee; we add value to your project by navigating the complex red tape and technical specifications, ensuring your dream project becomes a reality.

**Design Philosophy** We believe that the best buildings are those that subtly blend modern and traditional influences, creating understated, comfortable, and human-scale spaces. Our designs transcend briefly by combining modern and traditional elements, resulting in elegant and serene spaces. We apply our knowledge of building conservation and restoration to all projects, ensuring that the aesthetic appeal of the existing property is preserved.

**Sustainable Design** We are committed to sustainability, with experience in designing super-insulated houses to 'Passivhaus' standards and overseeing the installation of air and ground-source heat-pumps, underfloor heating, and whole-house mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. We strive to incorporate eco-friendly features into our designs, using traditional materials like brick, block, and timber, while occasionally incorporating green oak, glulam, and steel frames.

**Conservation and Restoration** Our extensive knowledge of building conservation and restoration enables us to sensitively restore or renovate historic properties. We have experience in working with local authorities and conservation bodies to obtain planning permission and address any concerns.
**Our Expertise**

Our expertise spans a wide range of projects, from low-energy houses and extensions to small non-domestic projects. We have expertise in designing buildings that exceed clients' expectations while responding to all functional requirements. Our designs focus on creating comfortable, human-scale spaces that blend modern and traditional influences.
**Nottingham Architect**

As a Nottingham-based architect, we take pride in our work and commitment to delivering exceptional services. We continuously strive to improve our skills, staying up-to-date with the latest building regulations and technologies. Our mission is to create beautiful, functional, and sustainable buildings that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.
