Beaton & McMurchy

At Beaton + McMurchy Architects, we are a well-established architectural practice with extensive experience in community, social housing, commercial, private residential, retail, and sports and leisure projects. Our team consists of two architects, a senior architectural technologist, a junior technologist, and secretarial staff.

Our journey began in June 2004, and since then, we have been involved in numerous projects of all types, in both the private and public sectors, acting in the role of project architects, administering building works through to completion. We are a design-led practice with an open attitude who work well within a team. Our aim is to always provide a comprehensive quality service.

We are a Chartered Practice with The Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland. We have well-established contacts and good working relationships with the local Planning and Building Standards departments. We have been very successful in securing planning approvals on sensitive sites using our extensive local knowledge and also by consistently producing carefully designed buildings that respect their siting.
